JS 새창 뛰우기 할때, 변수에 담는 이유?

함수 호출해 사용하는데, 왜 굳이 변수에 담나요?
담으면 어떤 점이 좋길래....?

창만 띄우는 경우라면 window.open("", "", "width=200,height=100");
로 충분합니다.
변수에 담는 경우는 팝업창을 컨트롤할경우 필요합니다.
ex) myWindow.document.write(), myWindow.close()

처럼 띄워진 새창을 조작할때 사용합니다.
